May Newsletter

Hello Black Coffee Family!

There are three special events we’d like it highlight this month. We’ll send a separate email out highlighting May Day festivities – however, Black Coffee will be closed for May Day as a holiday for the workers.

1. Meet Coffee Farmers!

This Friday, 4/25 will be a rare opportunity to meet the very farmers who grow some of the Kuma-roasted coffee served at Black Coffee. These are individuals representing heirloom farms & cooperatives growing some of the highest quality coffee in the world.

Come at 5:30pm this Friday for an early happy hour & Q&A with these distinguished farmers.

2. Too Much To Celebrate!

Join a benefit for Black Coffee – a celebration of many milestones.

  • Welcome 2 new Worker-Owner
  • The Collective turns 3 Years Old
  • The Cafe turns 1.5 Years Old
  • 501 E Pine “Warn Building” turns 100 years old
  • Belated May Day & Spring Celebration
  • Worker-Owner Scott turns 25

A Fantastical Screening of “The Wizard of OZ” dubbed with Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon” dubbed with the Flaming Lips cover of “Dark Side of the Moon”. Woah. On top of that, it will all be illuminated by a laser light show.

3. CHURCH! & Warrior Tour
