Black Coffee Meets Seattle

Let us meet you! Join us at the future home of our lil’ co-op coffee & info shop!

To entice you into our digs, we’ll have hot, fresh, Black Coffee, and cool cool Ranier cans.

Tonight’s event will be slightly unconventional, and we can’t wait to see you there. It will be something like an open-house. We invite you in to our space-in-progress so that we may give a public introduction to the Black Coffee cooperative crew and vision, and so we may meet you - future friends, workers, and regulars of the cafe.

We are also excited to give YOU the chance to share your ideas with us, on everything from design and aesthetics to coop structure and info-shop content.

So, come for the coffee and beer, stay for the wonderful gathering of hearts and minds around this exciting new project!

Hope to see you tonight!

- from Scott of the Black Coffee Crew

Wonderful! Somewhere between 40-60 in attendance, we served all our coffee and beers, made a lot of great connections, and collected a lot of beautiful ideas about the space. Check out a few pictures here:

Unfortunately I only just found out about this today (Monday). I just want to express how excited I am for this to happen, and I will be supporting you whenever possible. Cheers and best of luck.

Sorry we missed eachother. Obviously, the cafe is not open yet, and were still figuring out if this location on Pike is going to work out.

When I read about this on the CHS blog, there was discussion of having dairy available or not. I don’t know if that is something you are still debating, but I wanted to throw my $.02 out there. I vote yes for dairy. I work down the block from your location and you would be the closest coffee shop for me and my coworkers. While I would LOOOOOVE a Coconut, Hemp or Almond latte or those milks in my coffee every day, I have a few coworkers who would not. And if we were doing a coffee run, we would have to walk right by you guys and head down to Kaladi Brothers to get the coffee order there instead. They also serve Almond, Soy, and Hemp milk. So, because there is a coffee shop a block away where they have a lot of options for non dairy + dairy, I think it would be best that you have that as well just to stay competitive. Just wanted I would share my thoughts on that. Sorry I couldn’t make the meeting.
