After a couple months of concerted efforts to scoring a lease at the 1718 Olive Way space, we were turned down.
The owner was worried about whether or not the old-old plumbing would be able to stand up to a coffee shop. The space has always been used as offices in the past, so we would have been putting much more stress on the pipes than any previous tenant. After trying to assuage her concerns, they ultimately had her too worried to lease us the space.
Awwwww, shux.
This means that we are on the look out for a new home - a home at last
